Our Pastor: Sam Freeman

At Campground Baptist Church, we are incredibly blessed to have Pastor Sam Freeman and his wife, Mrs. Dawn, leading our congregation. Their journey began as missionaries in the Philippines, but God called them back home, leading them to our church, where they have made a significant impact since their arrival.

Pastor Sam is a dedicated leader who serves our church with humility and wisdom, always seeking to guide us closer to Christ. He’s deeply involved in all aspects of our church life, playing an active role in each ministry. His heart for missions extends beyond our walls, as he serves as a Missionary Committeeman with the Baptist Missionary Association (BMA) of Mississippi, sharing his passion for outreach.

On Sunday evenings, Pastor Sam leads the men in our “Connections” gatherings, creating a space for fellowship and spiritual growth. You’ll often hear him warmly saying, “Love ya,” and you know it’s genuine because of his sincere care for each person.

Mrs. Dawn Freeman

Mrs. Dawn Freeman is equally involved in the life of our church and beyond. She leads the women’s ministry during “Connections,” and her leadership is marked by a nurturing spirit that resonates with the ladies of Campground.
In addition to her work within our church, Mrs. Dawn is actively involved in the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary (WMA) of Mississippi, where she currently serves as the President for the State.

With a heart that mirrors a mother’s care, Mrs. Dawn inspires and encourages those around her, always ready to offer support and wisdom.

Together, Pastor Sam and Mrs. Dawn have led numerous discipleship classes, helping many grow deeper in their walk with the Lord. Their devotion to serving God and our church family has been a true blessing, and we are so thankful for the love and leadership they continue to pour into our community.
