Our mission is to cultivate a community bound by a warm, welcoming spirit, where members can deepen their relationship with God through meaningful discipleship and active participation in a variety of ministries. We strive to extend the love of God beyond the walls of our church, serving our wider community with compassion and commitment. As a family united in faith, we are devoted to living out the teachings of Christ in every aspect of our lives, inviting all to join us in a journey towards spiritual growth, communal harmony, and dedicated service.
Our rich history and commitment to our Lord and Savior shapes everything we do here at Campground. We believe those beliefs are the reason we always hear people feel like they just came home when they enter our doors.

We’re affiliated with the Ten Mile Association, the Baptist Missionary Association of Mississippi, and the Baptist Missionary Association of America.
Our story begins in the early 1990’s with Brother Harry Tapp, who had a vision and desire to build a church and campground where children could learn about nature, experience the camaraderie of others, and ultimately hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
For the first time, on September 1, 1991, with Brother Harry Tapp as pastor, Campground Baptist Church met on the grounds of the Mississippi Youth Camp. With God’s blessings, the church quickly outgrew a single-wide trailer, which eventually led us to our current location on Highway 53.
In 2006, the Lord reignited our desire to establish a campground for hosting summer camps. Since then, God has continued to bless this ministry by adding eight bunkhouses, two shower houses, a snack shack, recreation areas, additional worship and kitchen space, a new gym area, and thankfully, many more volunteers that make camp possible.
In 2013, a new ministry was born, The Gift: a Christmas Drama. The Gift takes spectators through the life of Jesus: before his birth, after his birth, and through his resurrection. Over the years, thousands of people have witnessed this emotional and impactful presentation in person.
In 2024, the camp was officially named Camp Jireh – the Lord Provides. An additional 150 bunks where added to house more campers. There were also additional recreational areas of having Disc Golf and an Obstacle Course Area.
Throughout the years, many have come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through our various ministries and countless seeds have been planted. We are grateful for the opportunity God has given us to serve Him through these ministries. The never-ending excitement of seeing God bless and expand our ministry is indescribable. To God be the glory, great things He has done.

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, (2) to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, (3) and on the profession of our faith, (4) having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Sone, and of the Holy Ghost, (5) we do now in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.(6)
We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit,(7) to walk together in Christian love; (8) to strive for the advancement of this church, (9) in knowledge, (10) holiness, (11) and comfort; (12) to promote its prosperity and spirituality; (13) to sustain its worship, (14) ordinances, (15) discipline, (16) and doctrines; (17) to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, (18) the expenses of the church, (19) the relief of the poor, (20) and the spread of the gospel through all nations. (21)
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion; (22) to religiously educate our children; (23) to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaaintances; (24) to walk circumspectly in the world; (25) to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, (26) and exemplary in our deportment; (27) to avoid all tattling, backbiting, (28) and excessive anger; (29) to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, (30) and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Saviour. (31)
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; (32) to remember each other in prayer; (33) to aid each other in sickness and distress; (34) to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and cortesy in speech; (35) to be slow to take offence; (36) but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Saviour to secure it without delay. (37)
We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will as soon as possible unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s word. (38)

A – Admit — Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin.
B – Believe — Believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of forgiveness from sin.
C – Confess — Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
The Sinner’s Prayer:
Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and there is nothing that I can do to save myself. I confess my complete helplessness to forgive my own sin or to work my way to heaven. At this moment I trust Christ alone as the One who bore my sin when He died on the cross. I believe that He did all that will ever be necessary for me to stand in your holy presence. I thank you that Christ was raised from the dead as a guarantee of my own resurrection. As best as I can, I now transfer my trust to Him. I am grateful that He has promised to receive me despite my many sins and failures. Father, I take you at your word. I thank you that I can face death now that you are my Savior. Thank you for the assurance that you will walk with me through the deep valley. Thank you for hearing this prayer. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
D – Depart –Depart from evil.
This is not part of the steps to secure salvation but it is a way of proving yourself that you are now truly of Christ. Forget your past and follow him.
